These are the places we use to book our travels. We appreciate you using our links, as we make a commission when you do so at no cost to you. 😊
Booking.com
We use this site probably more than any other to book accommodations. This site has one of the largest selection of hotels and apartments worldwide. And— you can earn rewards the more you use it. I always love a reward! 🥳
VRBO
VRBO is good, especially for large groups. It has a large selection of vacation homes and apartments worldwide.
Google Flights
Google Flights is a great place to explore flight options. You can put in multiple departure and arrival airports for comparison. One of my favorite tools is their Explore page. You can put in a departure airport(s) and let it tell you the cheapest places in the world to go during a specified date range. Check this post for detailed instructions.
Booking.com and Expedia
I also like checking these sites. I trust them. I have had to call customer service and have had good experiences.
DiscoverCars
They have great prices on car rentals worldwide.
GetRentACar
This is a good place to check rental cars worldwide.
Omio
You can book trains, buses, ferries, or flights in Europe on Omio.
Rail Europe
This is a good site for booking trains in Europe.
Trainline
You can book trains and buses (or a combination) in Europe and Asia on Trainline.
Welcome Pickups
You can book airport transfers, sightseeing rides, and professional drivers here.
GetYourGuide
We use GetYourGuide to book lots of things like city tours, wine tours, food tours, cooking classes, etc. It’s easy, and it’s usually refundable until the day before.
Viator
We also use Viator to book tours, classes, performances, etc. It’s simple and usually refundable until the day before.
Ticketmaster
We use Ticketmaster to book tickets for shows, concerts, etc. around the world.
Faye
Faye is a good place to purchase travel insurance for occasional travelers. They cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, trip delay, trip interuption, missed connections, lost or damaged belongings, and more. Get further details here.
SafetyWing
SafetyWing is a good company to purchase on-going travel insurance for digital nomads and those who travel extensively or long-term. It covers things like medical emergencies, trip interruption, travel delay, lost checked luggage, and more. Get further details here.
Priority Pass
Priority Pass gives you access to lounges at most major airports around the world. We love having access to the included meals, drinks, resting areas and even showers sometimes. We actually have access to it with our Chase Sapphire Reserve card, but you can also purchase it here.
iVisa
Some destinations require a visa. Go to iVisa to see if one is required for the countries you plan to visit. You can order it from there if it is needed.
We collect and use credit card points as much as possible. We use them for flights and accommodations. If you’d like to see how we use them click here.
Below are our favorite cards. We appreciate you using our links below as we get bonus points for our referrals. 🙂
Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business
Chase World of Hyatt
*Note! I only recommend using credit cards if they are used responsibly. They should be paid on time and in full each month in order for them to be worth using.
GoogleFi
We use GoogleFi for our cell service all the time, even when we are at home in the United States. The prices are very reasonable, and we love that we never have to change SIM cards when we switch countries. We just have to be sure to click in the app to switch to the international plan before we leave the US each time. It’s very simple!
We take this backpack with the rolling carry-on. See how we use it!
We sometimes use this backpack alone as our carry-on. See how we use it!
